William Blake Stewart

William ‘Bill’ Stewart (August 8th 1942 – December 12th, 2024)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William ‘Bill’ Stewart, who departed peacefully in his sleep on December 12th, 2024. Bill was a devoted husband to Bonnie for 59 years, a beloved father to Kelly Stirling (John) and Jason Stewart (Sarah), a cherished grandfather to Nicolas Stirling (Cailin), Blake Stirling, Mackenzie Stirling (Michelle), Spencer Stewart (Erica), Joel Stewart, and a doting great-grandfather to Callum Stirling and Kai Stirling. For most of his life, Bill was a much remembered and valued employee of the Hamilton Street Railway (HSR). Bill was an active skater, both on ice and on wheels, and hiker well into his golden years, sharing his passion for physical fitness with his grandsons.

We are grateful to the BHU staff at St. Peter’s Hospital for their warmth and compassion they demonstrated to Bill and his family.
