Wayne Heil

Wayne Anthony Heil, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2026 in his hometown of Hamilton, Ontario. Born on January 28, 1958 in Hamilton, Wayne’s life was rooted in the values of family, hard work, and authentic connection.

Wayne considered his family to be his proudest accomplishment. He is survived by his devoted wife Norine, who was his partner and confidant throughout life’s journey. Wayne leaves behind his sons Jeremy and Jonathan, daughters-in-law Megan and Lori, and his beloved grandchildren Zackary and Mia, all of whom brought immense joy to his life. His sisters, Michelle and Lisa, also survive him. Wayne’s legacy as a husband, father, grandfather, and brother will continue to live on in each of them, providing guidance, strength, and inspiration.

He is predeceased by his son Jeffrey, who tragically passed away June 17th, 2023. Over last three years of Wayne's life, he upheld the memory and legacy of Jeffery to everyone around him, cherishing the time they had spent together.

Wayne’s wit and humor were legendary among his loved ones. He was known for his quick sarcasm, but it was always accompanied by warmth, caring, and genuine love. Those who knew him treasure fond recollections of his lighthearted banter, funny quips, and the way he could uplift any gathering. Wayne’s presence filled the room not only with laughter but with kindness, compassion, and a steadfast sense of loyalty.

Wayne dedicated much of his professional life to Eaton Cutler Hammer, where he was known for his dedication and steady work ethic. His commitment at Eaton Cutler Hammer reflected his broader approach to life—reliable, determined, and always willing to reach out a helping hand.

Apart from his professional pursuits, Wayne found great joy in his hobbies and interests. Wood turning and fishing were more than pastimes for Wayne; they were passions that brought him peace and provided countless cherished memories. Whether crafting a new piece at his workbench or casting a line into quiet waters, he approached every endeavor with enthusiasm, patience, and a signature twinkle in his eye.

Wayne’s love and loyalty extended beyond immediate family, touching all who had the privilege to know him. The family wishes to thank all who have offered their support during this time. Wayne will be dearly missed, yet lovingly remembered for his humor, unwavering devotion, gentle wisdom, and the genuine care he bestowed to every relationship he nurtured.

His life stands as a testament to the beauty of love, laughter, and perseverance. As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the countless ways Wayne enriched the lives of those he held dear.
