Walter Lenard Bevan

August 25, 1942 to July 12, 2024

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our father Walter (Wally) Bevan, in his 82 year, on Friday July 12, 2024 at Idlewyld Manor.

Wally was the son of the late Jean (Jerry) Kulyk and Alex Bevan, brother to John (Sandy) Bevan, and loving father to Debbie (Orville), Cindy (Phil), Lenord and Donna (Reg). Dad remained good friends with our mother (Betty Gill) right up to the end.

Dad was hard-working and dedicated. He spent more than 50 years driving Taxi, where he was known to most as Jelly Belly. Dad enjoyed playing golf, cards, and was always telling jokes. He also loved to spend time with his love and partner the late Carole Berryman at their trailer.

Dad was a man of integrity, kindness and generosity, and he left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his grandchildren, Nicole, Chris, Leah, Allison, Roxanne, Daniel and the late Justin and Brandon. Great grandchildren, Kadin, London, Oliver, Arial, Jax, Mason, and Nolan, and great great grandchildren, Oaklynn and Carson. He is also survived by his nephew Scott and the late Wally Bevan.

Dad, we know you are having a rye and coke with family and friends up in heaven, telling one of your jokes and kicking ass in cards and golf. We find comfort in knowing that your legacy lives on through the lessons you taught us, the love you shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.

A special thank you to Idlewyld Manor for taking such good care of our dad during his stay with you.

The family would like to invite you to a celebration of life on Wally's birthday, August 25th from 1-4pm at Ye Olde Squire 550 Fennell Ave East.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
