Vilem Novy, a cherished father, grandfather, and devoted friend, passed away on February 19, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on November 10, 1938, Vilem lived a life rich in experiences and connections that left an indelible mark on those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Vilem was known for his great sense of humor and exceptional fishing skills, often reminiscing about the joyful times spent casting lines on tranquil lakes while surrounded by family. He particularly loved to spend time up north with his loved ones, basking in nature's beauty and the bonds of family. These moments were not only an expression of his love for the outdoors but also a testament to the importance he placed on family togetherness.

He is survived by his daughter, Vera Garneau, and his son-in-law, Jack Garneau. Vilem took great pride in his grandchildren: Andrew, Chris, and Matt Garneau, as well as Gage and Gaby Novy. His son, Milan Novy, and daughter-in-law, Yvonne Novy and his sister Dana in Czech Republic and preceded in death by his loving wife of many years Vera Novy.

As we remember Vilem Novy, we celebrate a life defined by the love he shared and the joy he brought to his family and friends. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for the warmth and laughter he infused into every moment spent with those he loved.

Vilen Novy's final resting place will be at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetary which will be followed by a celebration of life by close family members.
