Timothy "Tim" Mallett

September 9, 1952 – February 26, 2024, Hamilton, Ontario

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Timothy "Tim" Mallett in his sleep. Born on September 9, 1952, in Hamilton, Ontario, to Kenneth and Pauline Mallett, Tim was a cherished figure in his community and a beloved member of a large and vibrant family.

Tim dedicated many years of his life to Dofasco, where he worked as a Millwright, contributing significantly to his field. His work ethic, dedication, and the camaraderie he shared with his colleagues were hallmarks of his career.

Tim's life was rich with love and joy, shared with his loving wife, Marie-France Mallett, and a wide circle of family, including his parents Kenneth and Pauline Mallett; his siblings, Norma (Robert), Benjamin (Linda), Beverly (Rick), Patricia (Harry), Sandra (Richard), Judy (Mark), Pamela (Michael), Mary, and Dan; and a community of friends who will miss him deeply.

Tim is remembered by his children Kimberly Gadoury (Christian) and David Mallett (Sara), along with his grandchildren Zoey, Bailey, Skylar, and Charlotte. Tim was predeceased by his son-in-law Donald Gadoury.

Beyond his professional achievements, Tim was passionate about bowling, a sport he not only excelled in but also gave back to by coaching young bowlers at the YBC. His enthusiasm for the game, along with his mentorship, left a lasting impact on many young athletes.

Tim's legacy is not only in the work he accomplished and the sport he loved but also in the countless lives he touched with his generosity, kindness, and unwavering support. He will be remembered as a loving husband, a cherished father, a beloved papa, a devoted family member, a loyal friend, and an inspiring coach.

A celebration of Tim's life will be held on April 7th, 2024 at The Columbus Club Of Hamilton, 222 Queenston Road Hamilton, from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Friends and family are invited to share memories and stories of Tim's life and impact. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, and his legacy will continue to inspire future generations.

"Though we need to weep your loss,

You dwell in that safe place in our hearts,

Where no storm or night or pain can reach you."

John O'Donohue
