Watkins, Thomas

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas Arthur Watkins, in his 77th year, on March 19th, 2026.

Tom passed away peacefully in his sleep, at Macassa Lodge, bringing a gentle end to a long & loving life.

Tom is predeceased by his brothers David & Timothy, & by his loving wife Marilyn (2015), of over 40 years, with whom he is now reunited. Dearly loved father to Michael, Renee (Kevin), Krystle (Jesse), Kyla (Pavel). Cherished Opa to Jax & Keira, Caleb & Tara, Alessi & Aiden.

Proud & respected member of UA Local 67 (Hamilton) for over 50 years. Tom was a plumber/pipefitter who enjoyed being part of the union, attending many union meetings, & was the foundational member of the benevolent/bereavement fund which has helped many members to this day. He will be greatly missed by the staff & his brothers at the association.

Tom loved to travel & went on many trips/cruises with his favourite travel partner, his wife Marilyn. Golf was one of Tom’s passions, whether it be a leisurely game with friends, or one of the many tournaments he participated in over the years. Tom loved his music, particularly 60s classics, & was known to put on a show for Karaoke nights at Ace’s.

As per Tom's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at UA Local 67, 195 Dartnall Rd, Hamilton, on Friday, April 10th from 11 - 4.
