BAXTER, Theresa Marie

In Loving Memory

July 15, 1932 – February 27, 2025

It is with great sadness and much love that we announce the passing of our beloved

mother, Theresa Marie Baxter. Blessed with a full, happy and beautiful life during her 92

years, she bravely battled her last years with Alzheimer’s. During her final years at

Regina Gardens Long Term Care Home, staff and residents knew her as fun loving and

looked forward to seeing her beautiful smile. She loved to socialize and sing along with

all the best songs of her era.

Theresa was born in Campbellton, New Brunswick and moved to Hamilton as a teenager

where she met and married her first husband William Alexander Bilozir (predeceased).

A stay-at-home mom, they raised their four children in their friendly McAnulty

neighbourhood where she was known as Mrs B. Theresa was fluent in French, loved

swimming, fishing, playing cards and especially playing bingo.

Predeceased by her caring and devoted second husband Robert Gerald Baxter. Loving

and wonderful mother of sons Bill, Peter and Wayne (Kim), daughters Diane (Alan),

Sharon, (predeceased), Cheryl and Brenda (Scott). A dear sister to Jeannie (Pete,

predeceased) and brother Charlie (Sandy). Deeply loved by her many grandchildren; Bill

(Laura), Jennifer (Philip), Tyler (Danielle) Brigitte (Calvin) Brittni, Brandon, Michele

(Derrick), Kari (Chris), Allan (Anastasia) and Adam (Chantal). Blessed with her great-

grandchildren Quintin, Mason, Cameron, Isla, Lexus, Aurora, Mavis and Leah.

Theresa was predeceased by her parents Vincent and Edwidge Doucet, brother George,

sister in-law Rita, sister Gertrude, and brother in-law Allan.

A special heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all the caring staff at Regina Gardens.

Memorial donations may be made in Theresa’s honour to the Alzheimer’s Society.
