With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Terrence (Tye) Joseph Friday Jr, 60, of Hamilton, Ontario. Tye passed away on May 23rd, 2022 and will be forever loved as the brightest heart to all who knew him.
Tye was born to Cathie Hanson and Terrence Friday on March 7th, 1962 in Hamilton, Ontario. Tye was a Hamiltonian though-and-through and ever-ardent fan of the Tiger-Cats and all things Harley-Davidson.
Tye faced many health challenges throughout his years, but lived a full and vibrant life with more friends than you could count. Tye’s nephews and nieces meant more to him than words can describe.
Tye is predeceased by his father Terry. He is survived by his loving mother Cathie and his step-father Bill; his sisters, Kelly (David) and Kerri; his brothers Sean (Anne-Lucie), Cory, Geoff and Adam; and his cherished nieces and nephews Michael, Justin, Rebecca, Jessica, Sam, Meagan, Connor and William.
Tye was an intrepid trekker of the Bruce Trail, loved the Dollar Store, and was a frequent practical joker but always with kindness. He knew more about how you were feeling than you did, and shared more empathy every day than most share in a lifetime. He was a blessing to all he met and we will miss him dearly.
A celebration of life will be held at The Powerhouse at 21 Jones St., Stoney Creek, on Saturday, May 28th from 2 PM to 5 PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to programs and services supporting and enabling meaningful lives for individuals with developmental disabilities
