Terrance Alexander Belliveau, known affectionately to many as Terry, passed away on March 28, 2026, in Hamilton, Ontario. Born on January 14, 1951, in Campbellton, New Brunswick, he graced this world with a presence marked by kindness, humour, and a tender heart.
Terry’s life was full of moments of joy and laughter, as he was always striving to bring smiles to those around him. His quick wit and gentle humour illuminated rooms and lifted spirits, making him a cherished friend and companion. Beyond his vibrant personality, he possessed a creative soul that found excitement in music and craftsmanship. He was an avid dart player and was passionate about building musical instruments, a testament to his artistic inclinations.
He was a loving husband to Bonnie, whose partnership brought warmth and steadfast support throughout their life together for more than 50 years of marriage. Terry was a devoted father to Timothy (Derek), who survives him, carrying forward the legacy of his father’s humour and kindness. He is also survived by Tim’s stepson Noah. The depth of Terrance’s family bonds extended to his siblings Barbara Methot (David) and Roderick (Dianne), and to Donnie Hayward (Cindy) and the late Douglas Hayward (Jeannie), his brothers-in-law, all of whom treasure the memories and moments shared with him. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews
Terry’s journey was shaped by the foundations laid by his parents, Bemrose and Gloria Belliveau, who are lovingly remembered, as is his brother William (Billy) Belliveau. Alongside them rests the memory of Christopher Belliveau, his son.
Terry will long be remembered for his unique blend of warmth, humour, and artistic passion—an enduring inspiration to all who called him family or friend.
Private arrangements and cremation have been made. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
