It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sue Prosser.
Sue passed on June 23, 2022, after a short but courageous battle with
cancer. Missing her, with all of his heart, is Sue's partner of 23 years,
Jimi Hodson. She adored her two sons, Jesse Arthur (Brittany Garant) and
Andy Arthur (Lindsey Walker) and they and their partners will miss her
greatly. Her sons and their families brought Sue so much joy. Her five
adorable grandchildren, Brynlee, Chassi, Embree, Bowie and Jack were the
light of her life. Sue dearly loved her brother, Adrian Prosser (Linda) and
her sister Joanne Greenland. She was a kind Aunt to her nephews Jonathan
(Sooji), Matthew and her niece Lindsey Greenland (Mark) and she loved their
sweet son Quinten. Sue was born in Harrow, England and her many relatives
there will miss the friendship, love, and regular contact with Sue.
Sue's laughter and kindness will be missed by Jimi's family. Billy and
Fern, Ronnie and Charmaine, Meryl and Brad, Maureen and Jamie and Monica
and Brett are so saddened by her loss. The extended Hodson relatives,
Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews will feel her loss as well.
Sue's many family and friends knew her as a fun and extremely loving
person. She had a generous spirit and an infectious giggle. She placed an
importance on reaching out to celebrate loved ones on special occasions.
She was always prompt and grateful with her nicely written Thank You cards
and her roast beef dinners with Yorkshire pudding were a family favourite.
Sue was a talented seamstress and she and Jimi took pride in caring for
their beautiful garden.
We wish to express a special, heartfelt thank you to the Nurses at the Mary
Grace Ward at Saint Joseph's Hospital. In addition, Dr. Boyle and the
amazing Palliative Care Staff were so kind and caring to Sue and her
Family. We are also very grateful to Dr. Goffin at The Juravinski Cancer
Clinic and the entire ICU team. The compassion and guidance from the Social
Workers, Ashley Mikitzel and Kathryn Weston, was incredible.
Finally, to our family and friends who supported us during the last weeks
of Sue's life - we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Monica, we are
forever grateful to you for your time, your love and your commitment to
Sue's care and to helping Jimi. Wanda and Tammy, you were there constantly
for drives, food and to be a shoulder to lean on. Charmaine, Maureen,
Meryl, Joanne and Debbie, we appreciate all that you did for us. Thank you
to the many people who sent texts, called and visited. Your gestures
brought comfort at a very difficult time. If you choose to honour Sue with
a donation, please do so to a Charity of Your Choice
