Susan Yvonne Parker

This is in loving memory of Susan Yvonne Parker. She passed away on Wednesday August 19th. Mother of Shawn and Jennifer, she will be sorely missed by them.

She loved music. She played the accordion when she was young and considered becoming a music teacher.

She successfully ran a convenience store without training in her twenties.

She had a green thumb. She could grow geraniums on her apartment window sill where they'd florurish for years.

She baked amazing shortbread cookies. The recipe was a simple one she always said. But it was the way she made them had friends and relatives asking her to bake them every year at Christmas time.

She was a crossing guard for decades because she loved helping and working with children.

With the help of her son, battled cancer twice.

She was a source of strength and generosity of spirit for all who knew her.
