Susan Laureen Clayton (nee Clugston)

June 23, 1950 – March 3, 2025

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Susan. Beloved wife of the late Robert

Clayton, mother of Ronald and the late Michael, and grandmother of the late Fisher and Teagan.

Predeceased by sister Deanna Clugston. Susan will be sadly missed by sisters Lynda Clugston

and Cynthia Gratias (the late Paul), and nieces and nephews Thamieson VanBalkom (Martin),

Mark Debruyn-Smith (Vivian), Leanne Ballard-Tennant (Michael), Alicia Santin (Ryan) and

Kent Santin (Rubyana), and several great/great-great nieces and nephews.

Susan worked in the food preparation service business for over 50 years and was an integral part

of assisting others during her workday. Susan loved cats and adopted many rescued cats over the

years who became part of her family.

Respecting Susan’s wishes, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome to

a local cat rescue group.
