Special thanks to Dr. Brian Leber, Nurses and staff of: Clinic F, floors B4 and C4, ODS, Pharmacy, Lab and Social Workers at the Juravinski Cancer Centre in Hamilton ON for their incredible care, support and guidance; Bayshore Nursing, especially Jennifer for her amazing home care; and Greg Smith who came from Courtice to assist with Scott’s care in his final days.
As per Scott’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no funeral service or Celebration of Life. For those who knew him best please raise a glass of cheer, as you are all aware the Dutchman always enjoyed a beer.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Scott’s memory to the Juravinski Cancer Centre, specifically Hematology & Stem Cell Research: Website: Hamiltonhealth.ca/memorialgiving, Telephone:(905)522-3863, Email: donations@hamiltonhealth.ca or the Timothy Christian School located at 1735 4th Ave West, Owen Sound ON N4K 4X7, Telephone: (519)371-9151. Please consider also donating blood at your nearest clinic, so many lives depend upon it.
Don’t remember me with sadness,
Don’t remember me with tears,
Remember all the laughter,
We’ve shared throughout the years,
Now I am contented,
That my life it was worthwhile,
Knowing that I passed along the way
I made somebody smile.
When you are walking down the street
And you’ve got me on your mind,
I’m walking in your footsteps
Only half a step behind.
So please don’t be unhappy
Just because I’m out of sight,
Remember that I’m with you
Each morning, noon and night.
