HAMILTON ON, CA - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rosie Zych, 71, at Hamilton General hospital.

Predeceased by her parents, Ed and Jeanne Zych; and her brothers, Charles "Mickey" Smith, John Smith, and Ed "Butch" Zych.

Loving mother of Tim Zych-Szczyry (Jan), grandmother of Aiden Mulryan, and godmother of Kathleen Szczyry. Beloved aunt of Jason Smith (V). She will be missed by her sister-in-law Mari Hearn-Zych; nephew, Ryan; niece, Amanda; and by her aunt, Stasia and cousins in South Africa and Australia.

After retiring from Canada Post in 2012 she worked as a cashier at the Rexall in Jackson Square.

Her lifelong love of both music and travel found form first with the Cathedral Girls High School band and later with her long membership in the Hamilton Fire Fighters Drum Corps. She will be missed dearly by all of her cherished friends from both.

In lieu of flowers a donation to an animal charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Following cremation, a Celebration of Life will be announced in the coming weeks.
