Rosalie Louise Murfin

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our Mother Rosalie Louise Murfin (Monahan) on April 16, 2025, at the age of 77. Our Mother leaves behind a legacy of many children: Eddie Dean, Lisa-Marie (Paul), Mary, Kevin and Laura Lea. She also devoted her life to raising her two grandchildren Eddie Dwight and Rosalie. Her legacy will also live on with her grandchildren: Chad, Justin, Courtney, Joshua, Ethan, Sarah and Hannah.

Our Mother was born in Clark’s Beach, Newfoundland on August 26, 1947. She was a great cook and had a love for music. We will miss her East Coast kitchen parties. They were filled with roast beef and corn beef & cabbage dinners. As well as lively music that included singing with the guitar, accompanied by playing the washboard and spoons.

Her infectious sense of humor will be missed by many. Expressions such as “kiss my eyebrow”, “you hound dog”, “Lord tunderin Jesus”, and let’s not forget her very own word, “Perpatate”.

At our Mother’s request, there will be no formal services. She has been lovingly cremated and her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and cherished her. In honoring her spirit, we invite family and friends to celebrate her life in their own meaningful way. May she only be remembered for the love she gave, the wisdom she shared, and the joy she brought to all.
