Ronald Arthur Cupit
October 9, 1950 – August 23, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Arthur Cupit on August 23, after a life spent moving through the world on his own terms. A lifelong truck driver, Ron found freedom on the open road. It was behind the wheel, with miles ahead of him, that he seemed most at ease. He lived many lives and travelled many roads. Along the way, he was given one of life’s greatest gifts, two beautiful daughters: Nikki (Rob) in his earlier years, and Tori (Tanner) later in life. Though each of their relationships with him was shaped by different times and circumstances, both held a unique place in his life, bringing with them love, lessons, and memories that remain. Ron spent many years with his spouse Lisa, sharing a steady companionship that grounded much of his later life. Their time together brought consistency, simple joys, and a sense of home amid the constant movement that defined so much of his life. He was a grandfather to Jessie and Justin and is remembered by his sister Donna (Josee), sister in law, Marilyn and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Cliff and Nora, and brothers, Bill and Steve. Ron valued his independence and lived quietly, but he also appreciated moments of connection. Among the meaningful friendships in his life was his longtime friend Morgan, whose steady presence over the years offered Ron a rare and trusted companionship. There will be no formal service. The family encourages you to take a quiet moment, look out over the road or sky, and remember Ron in your own way—free, unbound, and still moving forward.
