Ronald Crawford passed away on November 27, 2025 at the age of 82. Born on August 8, 1943 in Toronto, Ontario, he was the only son to Lloyd and Muriel Crawford and was predeceased by his infant sister, (Barbara), who passed away in infancy.

Ron was a teacher-librarian for the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board from 1966 to 2000 and taught at Hill Park, Sherwood, and finally Westmount Secondary Schools. In retirement, he volunteered in “The Bridge Hamilton” program where he helped people reintegrate into the community after incarceration. He also enjoyed reading, completing crosswords and Sudokus.

He is survived by his former wife, Sue, and their children: Veronica (Jeff) and Barbra (Brent), and grandchildren Abby, Greg, and Jenny.

There will be a private family service in Thornhill, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA.
