Richard Walter Gough

Richard was received into the arms of his Heavenly Father on his 63rd birthday, July 31, 2023. He leaves behind his loving wife of 26 years, Shawna Gough. He was born in Hamilton, Ontario to the late Harry and Gloria Gough. He will be greatly missed by his siblings, Connie (Bill), Harry (Margaret), Larry (Belinda), David (Cathy), Gloria (Larry), Terry, Tracy. Sister-in-law - Kelly (Bob), brother-in-law Scott and David, mother-in-law Ruth. Richard will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews.

Richard was a member of the church from a very young age. He attended Peoples Church alongside several of his family members. He graduated from Ancaster High Secondary School in 1978 and went on to graduate from Mohawk college with honors. He loved his profession as an industrial electrician where he worked many years at Inver Power and Aslan Technologies. He retired early due to loss of eyesight. Richard had a passion for many things but largely for God, his loving wife, Shawna, his family, science fiction movies and his impressive collection of comic books.

Now that Richard has passed into the arms or our Lord, we should remind ourselves that while this is the end of Rick's physical life on Earth, it's the beginning of an eternal and beautiful journey for him.

Services will be held at the Peoples Church Hamilton, 510 Mohawk Road W, Hamilton, ON, Friday August 18, 2023, 11am.
