Raymond Brown

September 22, 1942 — February 18, 2024

Raymond (Ray) Stanley Brown born on September 22, 1942, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2024 at Shalom Village at the age of 81. Ray's legacy lives on through his children, Cindy (Alan) and Joe, as well as their mother, his first wife and forever friend, Donna. His heart was further warmed by the presence of his adored grandchildren, Jakob and Sophie. Raymond endured the profound loss of his wife Wendy, as well as his parents, John and Kathleen, his sister Laureen and his brothers Ed and Bill. He is survived by his loving sisters Barbara and Susan, his brother David, and his sisters-in-law Pat, Edie, and Diane.

Ray was a devoted Maple Leafs and Tiger-Cats fan. His enthusiasm for these teams was evident to everyone who knew him. This love was rivalled only by his deep enjoyment of listening to and performing music, particularly old country and Elvis Presley. His fondness for Elvis' music was evident in his spirited renditions that brought joy to those around him. Ray was also a long-standing member and Past President of Her Majesty's Army and Navy Veterans' Legion. His ability to crack a joke, and a beer or two, endeared him to many, enabling him to make lifelong friends both locally and in the United States.

Ray also leaves behind a multitude of nieces, nephews, and extended family members who were touched by his presence and will forever cherish his memory. Ray has been cremated and will be laid to rest with his beloved wife, Wendy.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. If you would like, donations can be made in Ray's memory to donate.parkinson.ca.
