Rachelle Michelle Berube

Rachelle Michelle Berube (Geneau) born December 19,1953, to Rollande Geneau (Perry) and Augustine Geneau, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children at the age of 70 on October 29, 2024, after a brief battle with cancer.

Michelle will be lovingly remembered by her husband Dale Burton,children: Eugene Berube (Sarah Ceron), Richer Berube, Eugenie Berube - predeceased, Lisa Jones (Chris Jones), Julie Berube (Stephen Porter), Christopher Berube,grandchildren: Rebecca, Jack, Nathan, Devon, Amber, Alex, Jake, Owen, Jessica, Stephen Jr, Grayson, Alexis, Xander, Cooper. She will also be lovingly remembered by her siblings Flechette (Larry), Eugene, Richer (Eva), Ditfleche - predeceased (Sharon), Christelle, Daniel-Predeceased, Eugenie - Predeceased, Genie (Frank), Providence, Diogene - predeceased, Emmanuel - predeceased, Fletcher and many more nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Michelle was a loving devoted mother, fun grandmother a.k.a “granny”, sister, friend, and wife. She was always supportive of her children and fostered close loving friendships with each of them. In recent years she devoted her life to learning gratitude and appreciating all of the joys and gifts life has to offer. She created a gratitude jar where she would write about everything she was grateful for throughout the year. She planned on opening this jar and reading these notes on New Year's Eve. She wrote about being grateful for time spent with children, grandchildren, siblings, and friends. She wrote about the beautiful daily gift of the sunrise, sunset, and the birds she fed. She loved watching the birds daily - blue Jays were her favourite followed closely by cardinals. She loved to enjoy the moon and stars, go for walks in nature and spend time at the cottage with her children and grandchildren. She loved frogs and her frog collection, house plants and collected many tables. She was loving and loved beyond what words can express.

A celebration of life will be held on November 30, 2024, at 135 Grand Street, Brantford Ontario at 2pm.

Her final resting place will be located at Maple Island, Whitestone Ontario.
