In Loving Memory of Peter Wrench
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Peter Wrench on June 11, 2026, at the age of 87, surrounded by his loving family.
Peter leaves behind his devoted wife of 67 years, Paula Helena Wrench (née Sobanski), with whom he built a home filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories.
Peter was a proud and loving father to Bruce (Brenda), Nigel (Sheryl), and Lesley-Ann (Sean). His greatest joy was being Grandpa to Dayne, Brodie, Brandon, Daniel, Blair, and Alayna, each of whom held a very special place in his heart.
Born in Manchester, England, Peter was a young millwright, husband, and father of two children when he made the courageous decision to immigrate to Canada in search of new opportunities and a better future for his family.
Family was always at the centre of Peter’s life. Whether spending time in the family pool, enjoying camping and fishing trips, helping with Scouting activities, riding mini bikes with his boys, or tackling projects around the house, Peter was always there for his family. He was the person everyone called when they needed something fixed, advice or support when things went wrong.
Those who knew Peter will remember a man of remarkable skill, generosity, humour, and dedication. A gifted woodworker, Peter found great joy in creating pieces that became treasured family keepsakes. From handcrafted toys and mementos to beautifully crafted furniture, memory boxes, and pens, his creations will continue to be cherished reminders of his love and craftsmanship for generations to come.
Peter was a man of integrity and earned the respect of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. His stories, laughter, wisdom, and love will remain in the hearts of all who knew him, and his spirit will live on through the family and friends he cherished so deeply. His legacy lives on not only in the things he built with his hands, but in the family he built with his love, guidance, and values.
Peter will be lovingly remembered at a private family gathering. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, providing family and friends an opportunity to come together to share stories, laughter, and cherished memories.
