Peter Gregory Walewski (1965-2026)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Peter Gregory Walewski at the

age of 61.

Peter was a devoted father to Alexandra (Ian), whom he shared with Trish, and Devon, whom

he shared with Regan. He was a proud Dziadziu (grandfather) to Declan, Blakely, and Lennon,

who brought him endless joy. He also shared a special companionship with Adi of Rome, Italy.

His love for his children and grandchildren remained a constant source of pride throughout his

life.

Peter was predeceased by his brother, Ted (2008), his father, Victor (2012), and his mother,

Regina (2019).

He is survived by his sister, Joanne (Ian); his niece, Samantha; and his nephew, Connor. He will

also be fondly remembered by his extended family and their families, cousins, cherished friends,

former employees of Victor's Cornerstone, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

In 1995, Peter and Victor opened Victor's Cornerstone in Caledonia – a very proud moment for

both! Peter took great pride in the family business and remained a dedicated owner and

operator until the restaurant's closure in 2024. Through the restaurant, he built lasting

relationships within the community and was known for his hard work, generosity, and welcoming

spirit. The family extends a special thank you to Tim and Logan for their support, friendship, and

assistance in helping Peter manage the restaurant during its final years.

Peter, aka “Peteski” to many, will be remembered for his happy-go-lucky nature, selfless

demeanor, and genuine kindness. He had a passion for cooking and found great joy in

preparing meals for family, friends, and customers over the years. Whether in the kitchen or

spending time with those he cared about, Peter was happiest when bringing people together.

His warm personality, sense of humor, and generous heart left a lasting impression on everyone

fortunate enough to know him.

Peter's sudden passing leaves a void in the lives of all who knew and loved him. Though gone

too soon, the memories he created and the lives he touched will be cherished forever.

Cremation has taken place.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026 from 12:00-3:00 p.m. at Ye

Olde Squire (former Victor’s Cornerstone), 40 Argyle St. N., Caledonia, ON, N3W 1B8.

If desired, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Peter's memory. The family is

grateful for all expressions of kindness, support, and remembrance during this difficult time.
