Peter Thomas Deckert

January 16, 1957 - June 17, 2022

Peter passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton on Friday, June 17th, 2022 surrounded by his family.

He will forever be missed by his loving wife Laura, children Shane (Syarrah), Jessica (Paul), Stephanie (Stephen) and Bryce. As well as his grandchildren,

Nixon, Colin, Finnley, Izabelle and Ruby. Papa, papa, papa!

Predeceased by his mother Patricia Joan Deckert (nee Smith) and step-father Harold Deckert . Also predeceased by his father Donald Bruce Switzer. He will forever be in his mother-in-law Leone Margaret Doucette (nee Corbett)'s heart.

He was a loving brother to Donna Chamberlain (Myles), David Switzer (Anne), Michael Switzer,  Alan Deckert predeceased, Brian Deckert , Mary Deckert , Martin Deckert , Pamela Hayworth (Brian) and Kimberly Switzer predeceased. As well as a special brother-in-law to Michael (Cathy), Lisa (Karl), and Bart (Nancy-predeceased).

Peter will be greatly missed by his bonus family The Myer's, his nieces and nephews and all his over abundance of friends, new and old.

A special thank you to all the Doctors and staff at St. Joe's for his exceptional care he received while there. As well as the 3 Wishes Project who help get us through his last moments on earth.

Cremation has taken place.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 9th, 2022 from 6pm - 11pm
