Paula was a devoted mother and grandmother, whose adoration for her family was unwavering. She savored life’s simple pleasures, often delighted by special dinners with her son Aaron and grandson Jake. It was at Swiss Chalet, particularly enjoying the quarter chicken dinner, where many memorable evenings would unfold, filled with laughter and connection. Her home was a sanctuary where joy blossomed, and the bonds of family grew stronger.
A true lover of animals, Paula shared her life with delightful companions, Simba and Puffy, who brought her much comfort and joy through the years. She had a unique bond with her pets, many of whom crossed the rainbow bridge before her, leaving paw prints on her heart. Her determination and resilience shone brightly, especially through her health battles, showcasing her tenacity and strength.
Beyond her role as a dedicated mother and grandmother, Paula was a fun-loving individual who cherished the lighter moments in life. She had a affection for watching sitcoms and TV shows, with “Hudson and Rex” holding a special place in her heart. Those quiet evenings spent together with Aaron after a long day at work are memories that will forever resonate in his heart.
Paula's journey through life saw her united with beloved family members who have since passed, including her partner, Michael Collins who passed weeks before her on June 10, 2025, her husband, Jim Reid, her brother Paul, and her sister-in-law Maddie.
She leaves behind her devoted son, Aaron, her grandson Jake, her nephew Dave in Niagara Falls, and her sister Carly of Listowel, ON. Together, they hold close the memories of a remarkable woman whose laughter and kindness touched the lives of many.
Paula Reid will be deeply missed, remembered for her down-to-earth nature and affection. Her legacy of love and resilience will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
