It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Joseph McGilton on May 3, 2026, at the age of 70.

Paul was a hardworking man who took great pride in his work. He loved listening to Irish music, and the simple things in life — especially spending time with family. Paul had a deep love and pride for his Irish roots and greatly enjoyed playing the Bodhrán. He was immensely proud of his children and grandchildren, who meant the world to him.

He will be lovingly remembered for his strong work ethic, quiet strength, and the familiar presence he brought to those around him.

Paul was the beloved father of Brendan, Lisa (Ryan), Erin (Mike), and Declan (Brittany). He was a proud and loving grandfather to Keira, Ava, Holly, Shannon, Luna, Boden, and Patrick, all of whom brought him great joy.

He will be lovingly remembered by his siblings Maureen, Maria, Ian, Robert, and Martin. Paul was predeceased by his brother Stephen, as well as his parents, Margaret and Robert McGilton.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Wellington Park Care Centre for the compassion, care, and support they provided to Paul over the past ten years. He was happy there and deeply cared for by his extended Wellington family. It brought great comfort to his loved ones knowing he was so well looked after.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Affordable Burial & Cremation.

A Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Affordable Burial & Cremation, 1-205 Nebo Road, Hamilton, Ontario, L8W 2E1.
