Patrick Edward “River” Healey … the Man … the Myth … the Legend! Pat has shuffled off this mortal coil and gone up to join the choir invisible and reconnect with his best four-legged friend Louie and his guardian angel, Cathy Dooley. Born January 6, 1942, in St. John’s Newfoundland, he passed away peacefully on Jan 11, 2022. Larger than life, lover of fish & chips and cod tongues, known for his band Newfie Screech and his guitar and harmonica, Pat lived his best life day by day. We will all miss his ‘poppy dance’. Predeceased by his father Edward, his mother Catherine, and his sister Cindy. Survived by his loving wife and best friend of 61 years, Phyllis, his daughters Cathy (& John), Denise (& Chuck), Tish (& Pete), as well as Joey Collins, Rick Squires, his grandchildren: Gage Squires (& Emily) Forst Squires (& Sydney), Colt Squires, Zanden Koning, Katie Marie Silva, Chad Silva, Bradley Hintzsche (& Doug), and his great grandchildren Atticus Squires and Minerva Squires. His siblings Betty (& Billy), June, Charlie (& Louise), Sharon (& Owen), Terri (& Jimmy) will miss him terribly. Pat was an avid animal lover; in lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Hamilton SPCA in his name. A Celebration of Life event will be announced at a later date. God has finally blessed Pat’s cotton socks! “Good night and God Bless”
