Paolo (Paul) Gennaro

April 9, 1942 - January 7, 2024

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Paul in

his home in Hamilton, Ontario on January 6, 2024.

Predeceased by his daughter Dorothy. Proud father to

Angelo (Maria) and Paul Jr. (Ava). Grandfather (lovingly

remembered as Pappy) to Lazara (Justin), Maia, Ella, and

Leo. Great grandfather to William and Charlie. Son of the

late Angelo and Dorotea Gennaro. Oldest brother to the

late Benny and John Gennaro. Paul will also be

remembered as uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Paul will be missed by dear friend Vincenza.

Paul immigrated to Canada from Palermo, Sicily with his

parents and brothers in 1959 and made Hamilton their

home. Paul worked in the metal recovering and recycling

industry until his retirement. After retirement, he enjoyed

doing small handyman jobs. In his leisure, ballroom

dancing was his greatest passion.

A private cremation will take place as per Paul’s wishes.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
