It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Muriel Marsh on November 26, 2022 at the age of 84. Predeceased by her parents Alexander and Margaret O’Neill, brothers Stanley and Alex, and her partner Dennis Wilson. Left to mourn her loss are her children Aaron (Susan) Marsh and Deborah (Dan) Arnott. Cherished grandmother of Kayla (Matthew), Chelsea (Rich), Cole, Myles, Hailey, David, Breanne (Kory) and proud great grandmother of Cayde. Will be lovingly remembered by her extended family in both N. Ireland and Canada. Muriel enjoyed being “Ma”, “Grandma” and “Auntie” to a large blended and extended family. She will be forever missed by her “adopted” daughter Linda Prunean. Muriel had a larger than life personality. Born in N. Ireland, she was the epitome of all things Irish. She was born into a family of musicians and became the young sister with the powerhouse voice. She took center stage in many local concert halls as the singer of her family’s band, The Northern Troubadours. She had a great zest for life and an exuberance that was infectious. Her quick wit was matched with an even quicker tongue. She was a strong, independent straight shooter who cared deeply and loved strongly. Nothing made her happier than the company of family and friends and a “wee cup of tea”. She lit up every room that she entered. In her granddaughter’s words “The world is a little dimmer” upon her passing. We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to nurse Angela on 5MG and the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital for their care and compassion. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the HSPCA in memory of Muriel and her love of animals would be appreciated. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
