Michelle Anne-Marie Wemmers, 64, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026, at Joseph Brant Hospital after many years of health challenges.
She was a proud mother of three daughters: Emily (Chris), Megan (predeceased), and Brittany.She was also a loving grandmother to Kenley, Hayden, Brady, Lincoln, and Layla, who brought happiness and special meaning to her life.
Michelle was the beloved daughter of William Wemmers (Jenny) and the late Mary Seymour(Mervin). She shared a particularly close bond with her mother, a relationship she cherished deeply throughout her life. She will also be remembered by her sister, Jo-Anne Wemmers(Frank), and nephew, John.
Michelle had a remarkable talent for knitting, creating pieces with skill and creativity. She held a deep pride in her Dutch heritage. She also enjoyed reading, with a particular fondness for novels by Danielle Steel.
Michelle will be remembered by her family and all who knew her. Her family finds comfort in knowing she is now at peace with loved ones who passed before her.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church. A light reception will follow, with burial afterward at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, and care team at Joseph Brant Hospital for their compassion and support during Michelle’s final days, especiallyAmanda.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association, Halton Region Branch, supporting mental health and well-being in the community.
