Michael Robert Holmes 6/29/55-2/4/2025

This man has had many names; Undertaker, Moose, Homzee and “are you THAT Mike Holmes?”, among others, but to us he was, just, dad. He loved the Leafs, the Steelers, fishing and the smooth taste of Canadian Rye. He always had at least a joke or two at the ready, most of which were inappropriate to young ears; didn’t stop him from telling it though. He loved his music and his movies and just having a good time. Spider-Man, Batman and Bravestarr were his go-to cartoons. “STRENGTH OF THE BEAR!” He’d announce, daily, as he came home from work. Our neighbours definitely knew that dad was home. Cheers to you dad, your unmatched sense of humour will be missed. “Why did the shark cross the ocean? To get to the other tide” “how many people in a cemetery are dead? All of them”
