After a brief illness and hospitalization, Michael Gordon Ganton passed away suddenly at Oakville Trafalgar Hospital on October 28, 2025, in his 71st year.
Michael will be lovingly remembered as a cherished uncle to Sherri, and a caring, supportive cousin and friend to many. He was predeceased by his parents, Annie and Charlie Ganton, and by his brother, Thomas.
He was the kind of person who told it like it was - honest, direct, and never afraid to speak his mind, but those who knew him best also knew the warmth and loyalty behind his words.
Michael had a big heart and a generous spirit. He was always willing to help, to listen, or to share a good story over a cup of coffee. His sense of humour, sharp wit, and genuine nature made him someone people were drawn to and trusted. He loved good company, good conversation, and could always find a way to make people laugh, even in tough times.
Michael’s passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his strength, kindness, and authenticity will be remembered by everyone whose lives he touched.
In keeping with his wishes a service will be held at Streetsville Public Cemetery (1786 Bristol Rd. W, Mississauga) on November 3, 2025 at 11am.
