It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the sudden passing of Michael Owen Chase, who left us on July 22, 2025 after a yearlong health battle, at the age of 63. A devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, brother in law, husband, uncle, and friend, Michael's warmth, humor, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Michael lived in Hamilton, Ontario, where he built a life full of love, laughter, and cherished memories. He is survived by his loving wife, Lynn Chase, and his children, Jennifer Chase and Bradley Chase, both of whom he was deeply proud of. He is predeceased by his beloved son, Stephen Chase, whom he carried in his heart every single day. Michael was a proud and adoring grandfather to Kaitlyn and Brayden Hannah Chase, who brought him endless joy and light. He is also survived by his beloved mother, Ruby Boers, and his siblings, Don Chase (Sandie), Judi Budd, and Bob Chase (Meg). Michael was a cherished uncle to several nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved dearly. Michael had a remarkable way of making people laugh and could light up a room with his humor which he shared freely through perfectly timed texts and pictures to brighten the days of our friends and family. He loved being outside, especially when he was in the company of his cherished cats, Tilly and Pip, who were always nearby.

Michael will be remembered for his kind heart, love of his family and friends, and his ability to make you laugh. You will forever be in our hearts.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
