Celebrating the Life of
Martin James MacGregor
“Mac”
June 29, 1951 – June 15, 2026
Martin James “Mac” MacGregor, aged 74, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2026,
wrapped in the arms of his devoted partner, Kim Smith.
Born on June 29, 1951, in Kidlington, Oxfordshire, Martin faced his battle with cancer
with the legendary bravery of St. George fighting the dragon. He was the cherished son of
the late Nancy and Bruce MacGregor. A man of exceptional kindness, Martin possessed a
gentle heart and had a rare gift for seeing only the absolute best in everyone he met.
Martin spent 16 years as a dedicated worker at the Oxford Car Factory before making the
bold move to immigrate to Canada. There, he channeled his passion and skill into
entrepreneurship, founding his successful business, MacGregor Coachtrimming Limited.
Outside of his work, Martin was an avid angler who found great peace by the water. He
deeply treasured his holidays back home in England, making memories with his close
friends and family.
He leaves behind a family who loved him dearly, including his sister Suzanne, his
brother Christopher and wife Pamela, and his nephews Rhys, Haden, Sam, and Pierce.
Rest now, Mac, your fight is over. We love you.
