Maria Rose Capuano

Maria Rose Capuano - August 2, 1956 to September 18 th , 2024

It is with sad and heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of our very dear Maria

Rose Capuano (nee Carter) of Hamilton on September 18 th , 2024. She was a beautiful

and vibrant woman; brave yet humble; a rock to everyone that needed her, and always

with a positive outlook. She was mother-and-matriarch to everyone. Her husband

Michael, family, and close friends were the highest priorities in her life. She had many

talents which included cooking, stitching arts, and was an incredible photographer. She

was a big fan of all kinds of music, jet airplanes, the Lancaster, Niagara-on-the-Lake,

and the world of professional and competitive figure skating. She loved travel, the

outdoors, gardening, fast cars, interior decorating, and her pets: Tuxter, Sam, and Mr.

Mikey.

Maria is survived by her loving husband Michael, stepson Curtis Capuano, brother

Daniel (Linda) Carter, sister Teresa (Joseph) Boniface, stepmother Esther Brown,

stepbrothers Peter Brown, Leslie (Janet) Brown, and Pamela (Tim) Smith; niece Keely

(Adam) Hare, their children Madden and Max; nephew Spencer (Cortney) Carter, their

children Mackenzie, Zoey, and Gibson; niece Brittany Boniface, her children Ethan,

Connor, and Colton; niece Jacqueline Boniface; and many very close friends whom she

has known since a very young age.

Maria was preceded in death by her father David Ernest Carter, mother Pauline Carter

(nee O’Reilly), stepbrother Paul Brown, and stepsister Patricia (Terry) Wilson.

A Celebration of Life for close friends and family will take place at Sacred Heart Parish

Centre (Poplar Avenue) on October 11, 2024 at 5:30PM.
