Margaret Shelley

Margaret Shelley, a beloved mother, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025, at The Meadows in Ancaster. Born on April 6, 1928, in Northumberland, England, Margaret led a life filled with, love, and cherished memories.

Known for her quirky personality and kindness, Margaret embraced life in her later years.   Her love for music and dancing was infectious.  She took great delight in hosting family gatherings, especially during Christmas and Thanksgiving, she prepared everything herself, not one vegetable was missing from her table!   No matter how large the gathering might be, Margaret’s heart swelled with happiness at having her family gathered around her table and living room and anywhere you could find a seat to eat!

As a grandmother, Margaret was unwavering in her affection. her grandchildren had many sleepovers,  never once not available to spend time with them.   She was also known for her affection towards family pets, willingly caring for them. One of her cherished companions was a budgie that she lovingly taught to speak, a testament to her nurturing spirit.

Throughout her life, even into her 90s, Margaret’s concern and love for her children and grandchildren remained constant.

Margaret was predeceased by her son, Stephen (Janice),  her parents, Egbert and Mary Jane Tindall and her sister Joan.   She leaves behind her daughters: Roberta (Dennis), Janice (Ron), Patricia (Craig), and son Leonard (Shauna), and many grandchildren and great grandchildren,  who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

Margaret Shelley will be lovingly remembered as a dedicated mother, doting grandmother, and a vibrant friend. Her legacy of love  will continue to inspire all who knew her.
