Margaret Mary Allen, born on November 14, 1956, in Hamilton, Ontario, embarked on her final journey on August 2, 2025. Margaret’s life was a tapestry woven with love, devotion, and a deep sense of community. She spent the last 20 years of her vibrant career dedicated to the Government of Ontario, contributing her skills and passion to public service.

From her early days, she was always a beacon of light to those around her. A loving mother and devoted wife, Margaret cherished every moment spent with her family. She had a profound love for her husband Rodney Allen, and together they built a household filled with joy and warmth. As a mother, she nurtured her daughters, Rebecca and Megan(Sean), teaching them the values of kindness, perseverance, and creativity. Margaret was immensely proud to be a grandmother to her beloved grandchildren, Harrison and Riley, finding immeasurable joy in their laughter and innocent wonder.

Margaret's interests were varied and richly fulfilling. The Girl Guides of Canada was a special part of her life for more than 50 years; she not only enjoyed the camaraderie it brought but also made a significant impact as she grew from a girl to a leader and, more recently, as a cherished member of the Trefoil Guild in the Royal Order of the Brow. Her dedication to service and her love for crafting allowed her to share her talents and create lasting memories with friends and family alike. Many will fondly remember their afternoons spent at the cottage, where laughter echoed and relationships blossomed amidst nature’s beauty.

She held dear the memories of her siblings as well, including her sister Beverley Bellingham and brother David Bellingham and his family, as well as her sister-in-law Grace Spence and her family. They were her confidantes, her supporters, and her cherished companions through life’s winding path.

Margaret's journey came to an unexpected pause when she was hospitalized, yet she passed peacefully with her family by her side, a testament to the love that surrounded her always.

Predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Bellingham, Margaret's legacy will continue to resonate through the lives she touched, reminding us of the importance of family, community, and unyielding strength in the face of life's challenges. Those who knew Margaret Allen will remember her not only for her accomplishments but for the warmth she provided and the love she spread. She leaves behind a family that deeply loves her and will cherish her memory forever.
