Lynn Diane Laird

Lynn died peacefully in the ICU at the Juravinski Hospital with sister Sue, sons John and Dan, and husband Stewart with her. She was called home to heaven. Praise God that she at last is pain-free. Immediate tributes included "She has joined the heavenly chorus" and "She is likely making a dessert for Jesus" and "Her encouragement and quiet enthusiasm will be missed by all who knew her." Sister of Sue Blackham (Patrick), mother of John Van Fleet and Dan Van Fleet (Cindy), and wife of Stewart Laird and much loved "Lynn Diane" to Holly, Heather, James, and Adam Laird. Aunt to Jeff Blackham (Alicia) and Jon Blackham (Lauren). Great Aunt to Aedyn & Avery and to twins Carter & Cooper. Nana extraordinaire to her many grandchildren including Daniel, Lauren, Noah & Jack, Miles & Owen, and Holt, and Great Nana (GG) to Sadie. Cousin to Carol, Judy, Karen, Donna & Sharon in Hamilton. Lynn loved her family members with all her heart and desired the best for each one of them. She was always available to listen when they needed an ear, and she shared wise advice and filled them with love and hope. Lynn was a born-again Christian believer who loved God and others and she served God in many ways. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
