Lisa Marie Delmastro

Lisa Marie DelMastro’s spirit drifted out with the evening tide on September 4, 2026, with her daughter, Tori, by her side.

Lisa was a rare soul, a free spirit, a party girl, and a woman full of both natural and learned wisdom. She had a wild, wandering spirit and a way of living fully in the moment that made her unforgettable to those who knew and loved her.

Lisa felt most at home by the ocean, which held a special place in her heart. A bonfire on the beach, some good tunes, good food, good company, and a case of Labatt Blue — life was pretty damn good.

Lisa loved beautiful things, and she especially loved jewelry. She loved it all — the delicate pieces, the bold ones, the unusual finds, and anything that caught her eye. She could appreciate a piece simply because it was beautiful, but she also loved the individuality and personality that jewelry could bring. Much like Lisa herself, no two pieces had to be alike, and she never needed a reason other than, “I love it.”

She had an incredible knowledge of nature and was, in many ways, a true human encyclopedia. While the rest of us might have been looking at weeds, Lisa knew exactly what they were, what they were good for, and probably a few other things we never thought to ask. She noticed the things around her that most people simply walked past. She had a deep appreciation for the natural world and a curiosity that never seemed to pale with age.

If you knew Lisa, you knew her confidence and her openness. If you knew her well, you knew she was someone you could go to for any reason. She would meet you with knowledge, understanding, and, more often than not, a good laugh. Lisa had a way of making people feel seen, accepted, and completely without judgement.

Of all the things Lisa was in this life, being a mother was one of the roles she was most proud of. Her daughter, Tori, was her child, but she was also her best friend. They laughed together, leaned on each other, and shared the kind of connection that comes from a lifetime of knowing and loving someone completely. Lisa was so proud of Tori and the person she became, and there was no doubt how much joy Tori brought into her life. Their bond was one of love, friendship, laughter, and an understanding that went far beyond words.

One of the common themes throughout Lisa’s life was that you don’t need to share blood with someone to be family. Family, to Lisa, was built through love, loyalty, connection, and the lives we shared with one another. She will be dearly missed not only by her family, but by the many friends she made throughout the years who became family, as well as those she lovingly considered her other children.

Lisa will be reunited with her spouse, Ronald; her father, Vincent; her grandmother, Helen; and many others who went before her.

Her memory will be lovingly carried on by her mother, Sandra; her sister, Gwen; her brother, Jeff (Regina); her stepdaughter, Nikki (Rob); and her daughter, Tori (Tanner), along with many other members of her extended family and friends who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

And when you find yourself standing by the water, walking through the woods, stopping to look at the flowers, watching the wildlife, or simply taking in the beauty around you, think of Lisa. Crack open a beer.

Lisa leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, wisdom, wildness, and the reminder to live life on your own terms. She was unapologetically Lisa, and she wouldn’t have had it any other way.

So, wherever you are, raise a warm one, look up at the moon, and give a little howl for Lisa.

In accordance with her wishes, no funeral or memorial service will be held.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate doctors, nurses, and staff of Hamilton General Hospital ICU, as well as the dedicated teams in the B3 and C3 units at Juravinski Hospital, for the exceptional care, kindness, and support they provided. The family also sincerely thanks everyone for their love, support, and expressions of sympathy during this difficult time.
