Linda Dianne Mcmillan

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Linda Dianne McMillan on August 14, 2021, at the age of 71, as a result of complications from esophageal cancer. Predeceased by her parents, Gord and Lila McMillan. Sister to June. Linda’s indomitable fighting spirit remained with her to the end. We thank the oncology and palliative teams at Juravinski Hospital (C3) and St. Peter’s Hospital (3East) for their compassion and care. “Feisty” was a word rightfully attributed to Linda. She always called it as she saw it, no holds barred. Linda will be remembered as well for her sense of style and appreciation of music, in particular, jazz. Linda adored her animals and shared her life with several cats and dogs over the years. All benefitted from her gentle care. Born in Brantford, Linda moved to Hamilton after graduating from Mohawk College (’68). She went on to build a career in marketing and communications with the Hamilton Harbour Commission, McMaster University, Hamilton Place, Mohawk College and The Society of Management Accountants of Ontario. While working for these organizations, Linda forged cherished, lifelong friendships. Cremation has taken place. Interment in Brantford will follow at a later date.
