AMME (Scheffers), Lieselotte Henriette

June 5, 1932 - August 1, 1925

We are sad to say that we had to suddenly say goodbye to our incredible Mom on Friday, August 1, 2025. Lotte was predeceased by her husband John, her sons Fred and Steven, and her siblings Lawrence and Johanna. Survived by her children Loretta, John, Edward and Catherina. Also survived by her sister Greta Roy. She was the grandma to 13, great grandma to 21 and great-great grandma to 4. Lotte was born in Rotterdam, Netherlands on June 5, 1932. Her parents were Louise and Cornelius Scheffers. Lotte immigrated to Canada when she was 19. Here she married her husband John and raised their family. The kids grew up mostly in Haldimand where Lotte demonstrated hard work daily by being out there milking cows, feeding calves, running a rabbit operation and finally starting a nut farm later in life. Lotte was always willing to help those in need – whether it was family, strangers, or a local charity. Lotte was a member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Jarvis and lived a life of strong faith. Cremation has taken place. A private Celebration of Life will take place at a later date at Christ’s Church Cathedral in Hamilton.

Donations may be made to the Firestone Institute for Respiratory Health, Crohn’s & Colitis Canada, Hamilton Burn Trauma Unit or any Animal Rescue.
