Leo Patrick Mclaughlin

With a heavy heart, we share the passing of Leo McLaughlin, 89, on September 11. He died peacefully after a long, fulfilling life. Leo died surrounded by his family. Beloved husband to Florence for 62 years. Devoted father to Theresa and Janet. Proud grandfather to Devon, Manny, and Addison.

Leo, born in Quebec and having moved to Hamilton in the middle of the 1950s, where he met his wife, Florence. Leo was a man of few words; people knew how he felt by his actions. He was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He loved to volunteer with Meals on Wheels. He loved entertaining and BBQing. He also shared garden veggies with the neighbors.

Although Leo is gone, we will cherish our memories of him. We will remember his great sense of humor and his loyalty to his family.

As per Leo's wishes, there is no visitation. A funeral mass will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13, at Blessed Sacrament Church, 305 E 37th St., Hamilton, ON L8V 4B5.

With a reception to follow in the church basement.
