Len Woodrow

It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Leonard “Len” Woodrow.

Born June 13 in St. Catharines to his parents Frank and Dot, Len passed quietly on September 30, 2025, after an illness.

Len was the most cherished husband of 27 years to Amy. Len was the proud father of two daughters, Michele (Craig) and Kristy (Mike) and as a grandfather, he received the affectionate title of “Papa” from Victoria (Ben), Colin (Danielle), Patrick (Madi), Caitlyn (Zach), and Abby (Austin) whom he was immensely proud of. Len's role as a great-grandfather to Reiner, Sophia, Hayden and Raiya brought him even more joy.

Len was closely connected to his brother, Brian (Ray). He also appreciated his relationships with his mother and father-in-law, Don and Karen, as well as his brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Melissa, his niece, Hannah (Irving), and nephew, Cory (Frida), also experienced the kindness and quiet nature that Len was so well known for.

Anyone who knew Len knew his immense passion for anything and everything to do with old cars of which he owned, repaired and restored many through his life. He frequently spoke about his first car he ever owned which was a gift from his grandmother when he turned 14. His enthusiasm for the automotive industry kept his motor running for years. He was a proud retired supervisor from General Motors and through the many roads he traveled in life, he collected countless friends who meant so much to him.

Affordable Burial and Cremation has been entrusted with Len’s Arrangements.

A celebration of this quiet and classy gentleman’s life will be held at Hernder’s Estate Winery, the location of Len and Amy’s wedding, (1607 Eighth Ave Louth, St. Catharines, ON) on Tuesday, October 7th, 2025 with times to be confirmed. Len loved a car show so if you are able, please come with your classic car.
