Leighroy Bradwell Bailey

December 20th, 1948 - December 5th, 2024

Leighroy Bailey, of Hamilton Ontario, passed away peacefully on December 5th,

2024 at age 76. He was born to parents Alice Alvira Lee and Levi Bartholomew Bailey on December

20th, 1948, in Old Harbour Bay, St Catherine, Jamaica and migrated to Canada in

1973 where we worked as a Welder until his retirement in 2015.

Leighroy is survived by wife Gayle Bailey and two children, Michael Bailey, and Marcia Bailey.

Grand daughters Kennedy and Olivia Bailey, Sisters (Lorna) Cynthia,

Jannette, Mitsie, Mezlyn, Levette. Brothers Burgess (Bunny), Ludlow (Renford )and

Stepmother Violette(Miss Pearl) Leighroy was preceded in death by brothers Tommy, Abe (William), Edgar (Bala),

Everton and sisters Hortense, Nisalin, Janice. Leighroy was known for his love of horses and reggae music. He had a burning

desire to get back to his Jamaican roots. A viewing will be held on December 23, 2024, at 2:00pm at 205 Nebo Rd. Hamilton,

ON, L8W 2E1.Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Cremation to follow. Celebration of life to be announced later. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to Dog Tales Rescue and Sanctuary.
