Laura Lee Hipworth (August 31, 1976 – April 22, 2026).

Hamilton, Ontario - Laura was nonverbal but her smiles spoke volumes. Her sweet and stubborn nature, unconditional affection, mischievous giggles, midnight shenanigans and joy of life stole the hearts of all she encountered. She delighted in musical soft toys, her occasional Bailey's with milk and wrapping around her little finger anyone she knew would give her more hugs.

She is survived by her grieving parents Betty and Ray, fiercely devoted sister Sarah, cousins Linda, Arthur, Jimeca, Stephan, Stephanie, Devin, Gordon, Vincent and Thomas, and by her auntie Joyce. Cremation has taken place and this ray of sunshine will be interred with her beloved auntie Sylvia and her grandmother Irene. A celebration of life will be announced at a future date.

We want to thank her support workers, especially Rolla, Sandra, Janet, Lisa, Miracle, Patricia and Susanne, who are all devastated by this sudden loss.

Condolence messages have shown us that Laura's small life had a big impact. A donation to a charity in your community that cares for its vulnerable would be welcomed by the family.

The sound of silence where Laura's noises and music used to be has been most difficult for those who remain behind.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2026 from 2 to 6 p.m. when we would have celebrated her fiftieth birthday.
