Kathryn Martinson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Kathy at her home in Hamilton at the age of 77. Kathy was pre-deceased by her parents John and Florence (nee Reynolds) Martinson, her brother John Martinson (Vi), her sister Shirley Smith (Dennis) and her son-in-law Mark Boyle. Kathy is survived by her 3 children: Kate Ramos (Gary), Kelli Boyle and Chris Purdon (Jenny). Grandma Cookie will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Michael Purdon (Jessica) and Matthew Ramos; Steven (Jennifer)and Ryan Boyle; Mackenzie, CJ and Zachary Purdon and great-grandchild Kaiden Purdon. Kathy is also survived by her brother Bill Martinson (Jeanette) and many treasured nieces and nephews. Kathy suffered in her later years with MS but she never let that get her down. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading and good conversation. Cremation has already taken place and private arrangements are being made by the family. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Kathy’s memory can be made to the MS Society of Canada.
