In Loving Memory of Judy Ann Couture (nee Froese)

It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of our beloved mother & wife, Judy Ann Couture, who departed this life on May 5, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 69 years old.

Born on May 17, 1955 in Hamilton ON, Judy lived her entire life in Hamilton until 2022 when she moved to Smithville ON with her husband, Roger Couture, for their retirement. Judy is fondly remembered as strong, generous, funny, talented, intelligent, silly, sensitive, sympathetic and very caring... even during her illness.

Though she experienced many trials in her life, she always remained true to herself and never hesitated to extend a helping hand, offer wisdom, encouragement, humour and comfort. Her strength in the face of illness was a testament to the resilience of her spirit and the depth of her love for those around her.

Judy is survived by her husband, her partner, her teenage love, Roger. She leaves behind her devoted daughter, Jody Crystal (Ian), her talented son Roger Jr (Susy) and her son Jason, the sunshine of her life. Granny will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Tyler & Julia & Mya as well as her great-grandchildren, Acacia & Arabella & Kayden - who each brought her joy with every visit. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the lessons she taught and the love she gave.

The family has decided to forgo a service and will hold a private gathering in the near future. Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing she is now at peace - free from pain, surrounded by light, reunited with her parents, and forever watching over us.

A special thank you to the palliative care team of West Niagara for the amazing support - without you we wouldn't have been able to carry out her last wish of being home. And to the McNally House Hospice of Grimsby for their compassionate support during her final hours. God bless you all.
