Joyce Marilyn La Croix

Marilyn (Joyce) LaCroix, 90 passed away in the late hours of May 6th 2024 at the Juravinski Hospital, with loved ones by her side. Predeceased by the love of her life and husband of 55 years, Gerald, her son Steve (survived by wife Laurie), her sister Bette Anne (husband Gus) and brother Robert. Marilyn is also survived by her sons Mike (wife Marion) and Randy (wife Angela), her grandchildren Kristin (husband Mark), Joe (wife Heather), Beckett, Ben (wife Sherri), Matthew (wife Katie), Tim, and Brent, her great grandchildren Nick (partner Harleigh), Ayden, Liam, Liv and Marcus, and her great great granddaughter Lyla. Marilyn was a loving mother, aunt, Grandma, GG, great great Grandma, sister and friend to many. Marilyn was a passionate woman, especially when it came to the slots and her card games with friends at the Warden Seniors Club and Stoney Creek Legion. Marilyn was happiest when she was up at her trailer in Doe Lake with Gerald. Whether she was reading a book, enjoying the sunshine or spending time with her sister Bette Anne. The family wants to thank the wonderful staff at The Wellington for making Marilyn’s last year a memorable one, as well as the staff at Juravinski Hospital for keeping her comfortable in her final days. As per Marilyn’s wishes there will be no service, but rather a small family gathering at a later date to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to MS Canada, as this organization holds dear to Marilyn.
