Joyce Anna Maxwell

Joyce Maxwell (nee Lichter) On Sunday, November 29, 2020, in her 74th year, Joyce lost her battle with a failing heart. She was the best friend and cherished Mother of Kathleen Maxwell (Allen) of Hamilton and Kristine Morley (Jeff) of British Columbia. She was Grammy to Abigail Morley. She was the beloved Sister of Helen Martin and Gwen Ackland (Dave). She was adored Auntie Joyce to her Nieces, Nephews and their children. Many relatives across Canada, especially Cousin Carol Neath, are sharing loving memories. Joyce left us to be with her Parents Al and Ruth Lichter, her Brother-in-law Len Martin, her Niece Catherine Martin and her devoted dog Jake. Joyce was the telephone voice of Remax Escarpment for many years before retiring in 2017. Her mischievous personality and generous baking will be missed by everyone. She was an avid scrabble player and loved knitting, crocheting and reading novels. Joyce celebrated Saturdays by having steak for dinner. She loved the holiday season and decorating her blinding Christmas tree to perfection. One of her favourite things was visiting Niagara-on-the-Lake. At Joyce’s request, no service will be held. The family will be mourning privately. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, Ovarian Cancer Canada or to Whispering Hearts Horse Rescue. We’ve lost an amazing person, but Heaven has gained a beautiful angel.
