“Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, so loved, so missed and held so dear”.

The sadness we feel with sharing the passing of Carl Joseph Richard is beyond words. Carl died surrounded by his family on July 22, 2024 at the age of 86. He has been reunited with his son Doug, mother Delima, and father Alphonse. Devoted and loving husband of Sandra for 63 wonderful years. Most loved father to Ken, Susan, and Tom. As the most cherished Papa, he filled their lives with love, humor, music, and happy memories. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Carl, Jake, and Michelle and great grandson Chase. Loving brother to Ron and Darlene, Gary and Phyllis, Elise, Patsy, David, and Olie. Brother-in-Law to Carl and Helen, Vern and Jachie.

Carl leaves behind a loving legacy as a devoted husband, amazing dad and most adored papa. To know Carl was to know a great hockey player, great guitar player, great pool player, and all around great person to everybody he knew. He will be missed.

We want to thank the staff at Juravinski Hospital who cared for Carl with such kindness and compassion that carried over to his family.
