John Westwater

We are saddened to announce the passing of John Westwater on Saturday April 9th at St Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton. John was predeceased by his parents, Martha and Jim Westwater. He is survived by his sister, Margaret and her husband, Campbell and their family. By his cousin Ruth, his cousin Susan, husband Martin and family, by cousin Ian, wife Bonnie and family and his two sons, Gordon Westwater and James Westwater and grandson James Jr. John was a kind and gentle soul who was always willing to help anyone with anything. He was a father, a friend, a partner, an uncle, a son, and a brother. He was Seamus, the Scotsman with the Irish name, to his Austin’s Park family. And the best basement dart player on Hamilton Mountain. John was a good man and has left this earth far too soon and will be missed by many. The only comfort is knowing he is back in the loving arms of the love of his life Suzie. God speed John Westwater, and thank you for allowing us to be a part of your life. Family and friends would like to give a special thank you to the exceptional care given by the doctors, nurses and support staff of St. Joseph’s hospital ICU. A Celebration of life will be arranged at a later date.
